Our no-show policy

Every medical office can charge missed appointments or cancellations on short notice. It is completely irrelevant why the appointment was missed or cancelled on short notice (illness, train or car problems, forgotten appointment, ...). The only criterion is whether we had a chance to book another patient in the respective time slot. Other service providers with an agenda (physiotherapists, podologists, hairdressers and others) do the same.

 

According to Zurich Medical Society, a cancellation less than 48 hours before the appointment can be charged with 100 francs. For many years, we have been following a much more accomodating policy: for an appointment cancelled less than 24 hours prior, we charge 50 francs (100 francs only in case of longer first visits). This policy is announced in the confirmation E-mail issued for every appointment. The amount compensates only for a small part of the missed turnover, but should sensitize for the operational and business constraints of our office. Our team is instructed to decline individual exceptions altogether, which is why we kindly ask you to avoid discussions.
